(The current owners of Bruern Abbey have asked me to clarify that they have no connection with the School, which moved to its current premises in Chesterton many years ago, though retaining its name. Any mention of ‘Bruern’ or ‘Bruern Abbey’ refers, of course, to the school.)

In the late 1980s an American paedophile set up a prep school in Oxfordshire for troubled, autistic and dyslexic boys. He has raped at least one boy - me.

You see the kid in the picture, the only one with an unobscured face? That’s 11-year-old me. The man immediately below me is my rapist.

His name is Sterling Stover and he remains a director of the school’s parent company Bellevue Education. He also has ready, unsupervised access to the boys at the school he founded, Bruern Abbey. Since I brought this matter to Bellevue’s attention I have been repeatedly lied to and threatened with legal action.

Bruern Abbey School should be a paradise for SEN children who have been failed by the traditional education system. The only problem is, they share the premises with a predator.
